This is a mini chemical peel at home kit with a two-step process. Chemical peels are thought to help people with acne problems. I have two friends who did this at the dermatologist’s office and said it really cured their acne nightmare. If you’re not ready to see your dermatologist yet, try this product at home first.
You’d use first-step pre-soaked towelettes to exfoliate, then after two minutes apply the second towelette which gives you vitamins and anti-aging boosters. The patented two-step treatment claims to diminish wrinkles, treat breakouts, reduce pore size and dark spots, and improve skin tone and texture. The manufacturer also states that it is gentle enough for all skin types, including normal, oily, combination and aging skin. You should still test this to see if the treatment will be too harsh for your skin. There is an original version Alpha Beta Daily Peel which has less concentration of acid available, but has 30 applications. Another option is try the 5 extra-strength application kit.
Also after using this peel, there are some precautions on taking care of your renewed skin. Alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) may increase skin sensitivity to the sun and possibility sunburn. Use a high SPF 50+ PA+++ sunscreen every three hours, limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Use skincare products without alcohol or exfoliation when using this peel.

Acne can take a toll on your self-confidence, especially for young people. But don’t give up! Remember that this is a process that many dealt with, that you’re not alone in it, and with time and extra care your problem will subside. There is hope! If you don’t see improvement In a couple of months, seek help from a dermatologist right away. Don’t poke or squeeze your pimples; acne scars will require substantial laser treatments to remove. Having gone through a Fraxel: Restore treatment once myself, I can tell you that it was the most painful surgery I’ve experienced! I seriously can’t imagine going through it 4-5 times to remove acne scars, although a friend of mine did and her skin looks remarkably great today.
